The Vod-Vil Bar
Belly up to The Vod-Vil Bar at The Brightside! Deriving its name from the Vod-Vil sign that was mysteriously discovered on the property during our renovation, we like to think it’s the French spelling of Vaudville. Since Vaudville shows were known for their comedic sketches, songs, and general merriment, it sets the perfect tone for our Vod-Vil Bar.
Use of the Vod-Vil Bar is included with your Ballroom rental and is often used for cocktail hour, extra space for buffet tables, or a quieter place for guests to gather once the party gets cranking in the ballroom. The Vod-Vil Bar also connects to the Patio for additional outdoor seating, yard games, or access to food trucks.
It’s a popular place amongst guests and truly feels like you have your very own neighborhood bar all to yourself!
**Please note that the rental of only the Vod-Vil Bar is done on a case-by-case basis depending upon the time of year and booked show/event dates. Please specifically mention this in your inquiry.

You absolutely MUST use their catering, alcohol, and bartenders - end of story.
Or, you can stock your own bar and YOU MUST PROVIDE licensed and insured bartenders. Now, you are faced with the confusing reality of trying to guess how much guests are going to drink, having to stock a bar with mixers, sodas, garnishes, glasses, ice, and miscellaneous supplies, AND still have to find the elusive insured bartender (seriously, you’ll have better luck finding a leprechaun).
At The Brightside, happiness and simplicity are the name of the game so we’ve kept food and bar service simple!
With us, you can bring in your own catering! From fine cuisine to food trucks, you can use whatever catering service you prefer.
We also have flexible easy-peasy bar packages that put you in complete control of how much you spend. The best part is knowing that we have all of the bartending work covered for you so that you can just pop the bubbly and enjoy!

At The Brightside, your bar service is designed for maximum flexibility for you and your guests while providing you with ultimate budgetary control. Most Brightside couples choose our Host Bar Option, which is essentially opening a tab to a budget limit. Why do couples and our staff love this option?
No Prepayment - Just bring a credit card the day of the event and confirm the budget limit with our bar staff. All of our prices include tax, 20% service fee will be added to the Host Bar tab.
Easy OPTIONS - Select the price range of drinks included in your Host Bar, and then your guests will have access to all of our offerings that fall into that price range {Domestic Beer & Wine ($3 - $5.50), All Beer & Wine ($3-$6), All but Top Shelf liquor ($3 - $7.50), All bar items ($3 - $8)}. Check out our menu to see the options in each of these categories. We even offer non-alcoholic beer and draft options!
Flexibility of Bar Times - We start serving at the time you request, and we serve on your tab until your budget limit is met, which often lasts the whole evening (6-hour service limit). Once the budget limit is met, we transition smoothly to a cash/credit bar, unless someone else like a fun uncle decides to open that tab back up on his credit card (we find this happens pretty regularly at our events). No need to watch the clock or count heads, so our staff can focus solely on customer service!
Non-Alcoholic Drink Options - The Brightside provides coffee and a self-serve water station as part of our bar service, and then we only charge for the actual sodas consumed. Or, you are welcome to have your caterer bring lemonade or iced tea. You can even choose to bring your own soda station if you prefer.

Where to begin with The Brightside? We were one of those couples that decided to push through COVID and still get married and have our reception. We cannot thank The Brightside enough for helping us through from start to finish. Our wedding reception was everything we asked for and more. Carli, Hamilton and staff were tremendously helpful through the entire process from planning to the day of. If we could go back, there’s not one thing we would’ve changed because it was just that perfect! We loved that the venue itself looked good on its own with its industrial features (that we absolutely adore). You cannot go wrong. We will continue to give all the love and support to The Brightside and recommended it to anyone and everyone in search of a wedding venue. (PS. We loved taking our Brightside tee’s on our honeymoon!)
